Pumpkin Round Up

This week we finally got our first taste of fall weather in Texas! Are you finally crazing all pumpkin spice lattes instead of a giant margarita? We are excited about cozy sweaters, boots, pumpkins and Fall Festivals.  Here is a list of seasonal activities around Houston to celebrate the season!

P-6 Farms has a little something for everyone: pumpkin patch, haunted trail and an Astros themed corn maze. Every weekend is a fall festival with pig races, petting zoo, hay rides, carnival rides and games for the whole family. The u-pick-‘em pumpkin patch is open weekends through November!

Pumpkin patch open daily through October 31st. The pumpkins within the patch are pre-priced from the Four-Corner area of New Mexico and Arizona on the Big Reservation of the Navajo Nation. All proceeds collected during from the pumpkin patch directly support the missions and ministries of Faith UMC.

Old Time Christmas Tree Farm will have a Pumpkin Patch during the weekends in October. Entry is $5 per person. Pumpkins and tickets for different attractions can be purchased. Food, shaved ice and funnel cakes will also be available for purchase.

Celebrate community at The Woodlands Church’s annual Fall Festival, held after each service Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 27 and 28; service times are 6 p.m. on Saturday and 11:30 a.m. on Sunday. The Fall Festival includes a pumpkin patch, princesses and favorite characters to interact with, a hay maze and ride, carnival games, inflatables and delicious food.

The Woodlands Children’s Museum will host its annual Halloween SpookTacular from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Oct. 31. The event will feature a special Monster Mash Boogie Bash, spooky games, experiments, entertainment and more. Tickets cost $4 for members and $10 for non-members.

Take a walk through nightmares at The Haunted Trail on Friday Oct. 26, and Saturday, Oct. 27, from 8-10 p.m. Come out to the Recreation Center at Bear Branch Park and experience the Psycho Path — where worst fears come to life! Recommended for ages 9 and older, parental discretion is advised. Entrance costs $9 per person and ticket sales stop at 9:30 p.m.

Celebrate Halloween at the third annual Truck or Treat Halloween Food Truck Festival from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. on Oct. 27 at Town Green Park. The event will feature food trucks, a costume contest, live music, a kid’s zone and more.

Princesses, pirates, ghosts and goblins are invited to don their costumes and enjoy a spooktacular celebration at the annual community-favorite Trick or Treat Trail from 3-6 p.m. on Oct. 28 at Northshore Park. While at the event, children have the opportunity to trick or treat from booth to booth and fill their bags with goodies from local vendors. The free event will also include strolling entertainment, inflatables, games, costume contests and more.

The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park is open and celebrating Halloween this year. Stop in between 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31. Activities will include trick or treating with dressed-up recreation staff, inflatables, games, crafts, costume contests every 30 minutes and more. The event is open to trick-or-treaters of all ages, and admission is free. Concessions will also be available for purchase.
